This is a comprehensive six-month vocational programme designed to prepare participants for professional work in the events industry. It combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, enabling students to manage the full event lifecycle from concept development to post-event evaluation.

The programme is approved by the National Training Agency (NTA) and leads to Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) Level 3 certification. It is currently the only programme in Trinidad and Tobago offering this qualification in Event Management (Planning).

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Apply professional standards in event planning and management
  • Assess staffing and human resource requirements
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and event documentation
  • Develop and manage event budgets and pricing strategies
  • Identify legal, contractual, and operational requirements
  • Create marketing and promotional strategies
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Apply risk management and safety procedures
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional conduct
